The EAMS Industrie was founded by shipyards PIRIOU and Gilbert Gourmelen in 1998.
The company acquired a 5500m² workshop and offices in the city of Quimper.
The management team and part of the production staff recruited (engineers, technicians and companions) were coming from the American companies Mather & Platt and Food Machinery Corporation (FMC), specialists of the harvest and the process of transformation vegetables successively installed in Quimper since 1960 until 1997. They therefore held a strong expertise in the design and manufacture of vegetable preparation lines.
EAMS Industrie began its collaboration with its majority shareholder by building him equipments for ships under construction in Concarneau while boosting construction activity for the agrofood industry.
