History

The company EAMS Industrie was founded in 1998 by the PIRIOU shipyard in Concarneau and its current manager, Gilbert Gourmelen, The management team and some of the production staff came from the Franco-American group Mather & Platt, followed by FMC, now JBT MAREL, both of which specialised in vegetable harvesting and processing at the time, and were successively based in Quimper from 1956 to 1997. The second company was wound up at the end of 1997. This team therefore had extensive expertise in the design and manufacture of vegetable preparation lines. EAMS Industrie thus began its collaboration with its majority shareholder by building boiler-making equipment for ships under construction in Concarneau, while at the same time relaunching the construction activity for the agri-food industry. It is thanks to the immediate confidence of the industrialists mentioned on this site that EAMS Industrie has over the years become a specialist in vegetable processing equipment, the full range of which you will find on the following pages.
